FairyTale Puppy Rearing
-Puppies will be neurologically stimulated from 3 - 16 days, and practice "The rules of 7"
-We believe that sound therapy produces a better puppy with a better temperment. Classical music is played at interval starting at 4 weeks.
-We *SLOWLY* wean our puppies. We believe that an abruptly weaned puppy will not have the immune support as a slowly weaned puppy. Weaning is started at 4 weeks, a puppy is fully weaned at 12 weeks.
-At 4 weeks we introduce recorded sounds that the puppy will hear once he starts socializing away from the home (ex: dogs barking, car horn, air brakes, children crying/laughing etc..) We only introduce this at meal time and slowly work our way to play time and then hopefully nap time. The ideal here is that the puppies ignore it, and don't pay attention.
-Somewhere inbetween 4-5 weeks the puppies will have their first play time outside. They will have longer and longer intervals of visiting outside (if weather permits) with various toys and tunnels and obstacles. We firmly believe in early puppy outside time, no matter the breed- all dogs need vitamin D from sunlight and also need to learn to explore on their own. This makes a better well rounded puppy.
-At 6 weeks, puppies are given individual attention and introduced to the clicker, numerous "odd" objects such as an upside down umbrella, things that make noise, large bowls, etc.
-At 6-7 weeks, puppies start socialization.
-At 7 weeks, puppies will be personality tested and given a rating.
-We do not sell whole litters as "show quality", puppies are first evaluted at 7 weeks, then 8. We will label the show quality from the pet quality puppies at 8 weeks. Show quality does not mean that pet quality is lower quality!
-If for any reason, we keep a puppy longer than 12 weeks, they still undergo regular training/stimulation/socialization as if we were planning on keeping them.

Please feel free to fill out this questionaire! We find this is the easiest way to place the right puppy for you based on the below. Please copy and paste in an email and send to us! There are no wrong answers! We only use this as a guide to place the appropriate puppy to you. If you decide you place a deposit on a puppy, the deposit is non refundable.

9. Do you plan on vaccinating? (Please note that FairyTale Igs maintains a skeptical view of vaccinations but we believe the choice is yours to vaccinate or not)
10. If you move, do you plan on taking your IG with you? Or if you are unable to care for your IG any longer would you contact me first, even if it is more convenient to just "give the dog away"?
